Lily Moon Sustainability Lodge : Camp Tico

On the grounds of Lily Moon Sustainability Lodge, Camp Tico will serve as Lily Moon’s program for disadvantaged kids. Camp Tico is an eco, socially–conscious inspiration & giggle summer camp for 7 to 17–year–old orphans, at–risk youth and children of the growers and artisans we work with globally. The camp will offer a customized Jardín de la Paz (Peace Garden) curriculum for children 7–11 in age and a Jóvenes Sembrando Juntos (Youth Sowing Together) experiential curriculum for youth 12–17 years–old.

Because we believe that multi–cultural experiences further enrich the social and communications skills of children to help prepare them for their interaction in the global village, Camp Tico will also develop an exchange scholarship partnership with youth from Fort Collins, Longmont & Boulder, Colorado.

Young children and older youth participating in the camp’s six–week summer program will be stepping into a supportive environment; a small student–to–teacher ratio with both Costa Rican teachers and visiting US faculty; and an engaging range of eco– socially–conscious and financial educational workshop tracks such as:
